English subject
Hello!
This time I’m going to tell you about my experience
with English. Fortunately, I’ve always had a good relationship with this
subject. I think it is mainly due to the fact that in my first school I had six
hours of English a week. After that, when I was 14, I started to watch a lot of
movies and series with english subtitles and I began to listen a lot of music
in English.
Since then until now, that I’m at the
university, my relationship with English have been getting really close. I have
only taken this last level of English and I think that it is okay. I was kind
of hoping that this course was going to be oriented to my career. So I got a
little bit disappointed when I started with the classes. But on a more positive
note, I think that the way of teaching this subject has been really dynamic. I’ve
heard a lot of things about the blogs and how tedious they tend to be. I
honestly don’t really mind doing them, but I think that we should assign a more
time to the interaction part instead of this one. Also, I think that it would
be great if the themes of the blogs are about things related to forestry.
I
feel that I’ve improved a little in my pronunciation or at least at the
fluency, but it still needs some work. I think that the only way to change this is to get a little more confident or loose with the language and actually take the opportunity to talk to a native speaker. So I plan to start writing and communicating in English with any people that I have the chance to meet. Now thinking long term, I plan to do a trip to the UK in the near future and get to practice what I've learned through these years.

Outside of this class, I use English quite
often. The big majority of the series and movies that I watch are in English,
and I haven’t stopped listening to music in this language since I was a
teenager. I don’t tend to write much in English though, but I enjoy listening
and reading it.
