Changes to my study program

Hello guys!

Today I’m going to talk about changes I want to see in my study program. I think that due to the fact that my career is relatively new, it needs a lot of improvement. From what I’ve seen this two years, there is a big mess with the summer practices. For example, they teach and evaluate things that we don´t learn during the year. That is a very serious problem because we are left behind a little bit lost and with information gaps. I also think that  there needs to be a reduction on the workload because we often have little time to ourselves.Aside from the fact, that the majority of the CFGs(general formation courses) are imparted on the afternoon and we almost always can’t take them because of the schedule. In addition to that, I think it would be a great idea to establish the policy that exists in other faculties of having two weeks at the end of each semester to only take exams,without clases. I feel that it would make that period a little better.

 In relation to the faculty facilities, I think there is a lot to do. In the first place, I think we need more classrooms and buses. There is also  have to be a change and reparation of the computers in the “Pabellon Arauco”, because we are always using them. We need more

I think there has to be a change in the teaching methods. This problem is basically caused because our proffesors don’t actually have a pedagogy degree, so they don’t really know how to teach. They often assume we know certain things or they go too fast during the clases. I also think that it would be great if we could get to do more laboratories or practices during the year.

Finally, regarding the curriculum, I think that it is okay but I would be amazing if we could have subjects based on how to mix with the comunities, make inventories and related to the forestry law.
